Foreign Doctors Are Coming, The
1 x 60'
As Britain’s NHS struggles to recruit more doctors, foreign medics are queuing up to plug the gap. But they can’t just get off a plane, put on a stethoscope and start treating patients. First, they've got to prove they can do things the "British way". But just how easy is it? This film, with access to the UK’s General Medical Council and an exclusive medical training academ find out by following a handful of international doctors through intensive training as they try to pass a stringent practical exam set by the General Medical Council. A compulsory pre-requisite before they can work in the NHS, the cultural and systematic differences are a bit of a shock to the doctors.
