Smithsonian Channel and global distribution and production company, Off the Fence (OTF), have extended their distribution agreement through 2012.

Leading global production and distribution company, Off the Fence (OTF) has announced the sale of Wildest Africa to Discovery International (excluding US), TVC de Cataluña (Spain, Catalan region) and Korea’s KBS (initially episodes 1-4). The series is an OTF production, which takes a breathtaking look at the African continent’s diverse ecosystems and natural wonders.

Leading global production and distribution company, Off the Fence (OTF) will be bringing 500 hours of brand new programming to Cannes for MIPCOM 2011. The sales team at the market will be lead by Bo Stehmeier, who has recently been promoted to Managing Director, Distribution due to the success of the company’s distribution arm.

Anglo-Dutch factual distributor Off the Fence has secured global sales for two seasons of a reality show featuring comedy icon Joan Rivers.

Off the Fence has bolstered its factual catalogue with new documentaries about the Chilean mining disaster and 9/11. The company has picked up BBC in-house production Twins of the Twin Towers and Passion Production’s The Chilean 33, adding to a factual catalogue that now tops 4,500 hours.
