OTF SECURES 80 HOURS OF NORTH AMERICAN SALES
In Canada, HIFI has acquired a package of wildlife content totaling close to 50 hours, including Wildest Africa (13x60'), Monkey Thieves III (13x30'), and Rocket Compulsion (1x60'). The broadcaster has also bought a set of Star Wars documentaries from Lucas Film, which features Star Wars Tech, The Star Wars Legacy Revealed and Star Warriors.
Teletoon has bought Stan Lee's Superhumans (9x60'). An OTF production hosted by Stan Lee, co-creator of Spiderman and the X-Men, the series joins his search for people with genuine, real-life super-powers.
E! Canada (part of the Bell Media group) has acquired lifestyle series Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best (18x60') which follows international comedic icon, Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa as they go about their daily lives.
In the US, FUEL TV has bought Storm Surfers (2x60') which charts the adventures of two Australian surfing legends as they hunt the biggest waves of the season.
Adam Block, Off The Fence's SVP of US and Canada, says: "These sales demonstrate the continued appetite for high quality factual content in the international marketplace. Our New York office has been hugely successful since it opened two years ago, growing by 25%. We're realising this growth by expanding our business with existing clients, as well as creating supply lines for new clients."
