SMITHSONIAN CHANNEL AND OTF EXTEND INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
Part of the new deal will cover nine new titles from Smithsonian Channel's catalog, which OTF will be launching at MIPCOM. The titles - each of which are 60-minute specials - are: BLACK WINGS, CREATURES OF THE BLACK LAGOON, CHILEAN MINE RESCUE, 9/11:STORIES IN FRAGMENTS, MISSION CRITICAL: AMPHIBIAN RESCUE and JEFFERSON BIBLE.
OTF will also be distributing three new episodes of the critically-acclaimed series AERIAL AMERICA, of which they already have 18 episodes in their catalogue; AERIAL AMERICA: LOUISIANA, AERIAL AMERICA: MISSISSIPPI and AERIAL AMERICA: NEW MEXICO.
In 2008, OTF launched an international distribution arrangement with Smithsonian Channel to represent its catalogue of High Definition programming in all international territories excluding North America. OTF also collaborated with Smithsonian Channel on packaging co-productions for future Smithsonian Channel projects. OTF has already sold over 150 hours of Smithsonian Channel's programming to international territories.
