OTF ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH SUNDANCE SELECTS/IFC FILMS

New York, NY (September 29, 2011) – Leading global distribution company Off The Fence (OTF) announced today that the company has finalized a deal with Sundance Selects/IFC Films, the film distribution arm of AMC Networks, Inc. The new partnership has OTF distributing the TV and other select rights to 140 titles from Sundance Selects/IFC Films' award-winning line-up to worldwide territories, excluding the US.

Included in the package are 100 drama, genre and comedy film titles and 40 documentaries, such as:

WEEKEND – One of the most acclaimed discoveries of the year and winner of the Audience Award at the 2011 SXSW Film Festival, WEEKEND charts a romantic weekend between two young men in London. A.O. Scott of The New York Times calls it "One of the most satisfying love stories you are likely to see on screen this year."

BREAKING UPWARDS – starring Zoe Lister Jones the film follows a young New York couple as they intricately strategize their own break up. An official selection of the SXSW Film Festival. The film also stars Daryl Wein, Olivia Thirlby and Pablo Schrieber.

TINY FURNITURE – Lena Dunham became one of the most exciting young American directors scoring an HBO deal for the forthcoming TV series GIRLS executive produced by Judd Apatow by directing this breakout critical success TINY FURNITURE. The film won the best film at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival and the LA Film Critics Association Next Gen Award.

MEDICINE FOR MELANCHOLY – Nominated for 3 Independent Spirit Awards and winner of the Audience Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival, Barry Jenkin's MEDICINE FOR MELANCHOLY is the romantic story of two young African Americans (The Daily Show's Wyatt Cenac and Tracey Heggins) falling in love with rapidly gentrifying San Francisco.

SORRY, HATERS – Robin Wright Penn stars in this look at the anxieties and fears of post-9/11 America. An Arab cab driver picks up a troubled professional woman with unexpected results. An official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival and nominated for 2 Independent Spirit Awards including Best Screenplay and Best Actress.

BEFORE THE MUSIC DIES – a compelling documentary that looks at the evolution of American popular music and discusses the marketing of contemporary pop stars.
