This documentary reveals, for the first time on television, the story of the finding of Adolf Hitler’s last will and testament, written just hours before he committed suicide in 1945. A will that hid the true extent of his wealth and status as a multi billionaire. Hermann Rothman, a German speaking Jew, who fled Hitler’s tyranny just before the war started, reveals how he and a London tailor found the will that Hitler had dictated in his Berlin fuhrer bunker just hours before he shot himself in the early hours of April 29th, 1945. “We were absolutely shocked by what we found,” says Rothman in the film, which then went on to translate what was a two-part diatribe by the former leader of the Third Reich. The first part was a rant against the Jews, blaming them for the war, but the second was a clever attempt by Hitler to disguise the fact that he died a multi-billionaire. The film then traces the sources of Hitler’s wealth and reveals what happened to it after the war and, using Hitler’s actual tax records, reveals that he was as serial tax evader who owed the German taxman a small fortune when he became Germany’s supreme leader in 1938.
