As Director - Commercial & Business Affairs, Imelda manages the Legal & Business Affairs department which is responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating the distribution and sales license agreements between Off the Fence, broadcasters, and production companies worldwide. Additionally, she is responsible for streamlining all internal processes by improving and implementing best practice distribution methods, including interface between Sales, Acquisitions, Operations, Finance and Legal & Business Affairs. Imelda studied law at the VU University in Amsterdam and the University of Victoria, BC, Canada and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Dutch law, European and International law. Besides her native Dutch, Imelda is fluent in English, and has a good understanding of Spanish plus Portuguese.
Céline’s key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating the distribution and sales license agreements between Off the Fence, broadcasters, and production companies worldwide. Céline previously worked as a legal counsel at ‘Stichting het Contractenbureau’ where she represented screenwriters of movies, series & theatre and carried responsibility for the deal negotiations followed by drafting and/or reviewing the pertaining agreements. She studied law at the VU University in Amsterdam and the University of Texas in Austin, USA and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Dutch Civil Law. She is a native Dutch speaker and she is fluent in English.
Kos works closely with the Director – Commercial Affairs on various projects, such as rights management and administration. He also assists with drafting and negotiating the distribution and sales license agreements between Off the Fence, broadcasters, and production companies worldwide. In addition, Kos runs Off the Fence's legal archive. Kos began working at Off the Fence in 2013 as a production intern, later joining the Legal & Business Affairs team as a trainee. He is a native Russian speaker and he is fluent in English and Dutch.
