episode description
In the final episode, Verdicts, we focus on the outcome of trial. Anne was tried before a jury of her peers in the King’s Hall of the Tower of London - a public spectacle that attracted over 2,000 spectators. We’ll see the trial play out, from Anne’s spirited defence to the court (presided over by her uncle) to the final verdict. Was it an orchestrated plot or were the accusations legitimate? Why didn’t the men condemned with her protest her innocence? We finally look at some new evidence which suggests that Anne’s execution was a foregone conclusion.
