A late-night 911 call brings police to a Berkeley home, where a woman in her seventies reports that a young man has died by suicide. But a wiped gun, multiple gunshot wounds and a suspicious delay before the call quickly suggest the scene was staged, and that her story will not hold. As detectives dig deeper, a wounded young woman surfaces at a distant hospital, and the truth behind a supposed suicide starts to come apart.
