Journalist Alex Hannaford heads to South Australia to investigate a terrifying rodent infestation. In 1993, rural communities were engulfed by hordes of mice which drove people from their homes, attacked livestock and laid waste to farms. Determined to uncover what caused the plague, Alex discovers that the phenomenon was not an isolated event . Given the right conditions, Infestations have occurred in Australia’s wheat belt for over a century, seemingly every ten to fifteen years. But in seeking to determine what those conditions might be, Alex is alarmed by what he uncovers.
