Alex Hannaford heads to America to investigate reports of balls of light, known as Spook Lights, floating in the night sky above a remote country road. In search of leads, Alex uncovers instances of unexplained lights where a scientific explanation has been found. Could the lights be linked to seismic activity or igniting swamp gases, or ball lightning? Alex disproves each theory in turn. But then he happens on the work of a Physicist who suggests a very plausible answer. Problem is it’s never been tested .... until now.
