The Mongolian Steppe lies trapped between the Taiga forests in the North and the Gobi desert in the South. It’s home to animals whose lives revolve around one essential thing: Grass. At its peak, the Steppe provides the stage for the greatest gatherings of wildlife found anywhere on earth. And is home to some of the hardiest animals on the planet. The creatures, who against all odds, have made a living in this hostile landscape.

Mongolia’s Altai Mountains are a golden backdrop to some of the most iconic and elusive animals in the world. In these wild and unpredictable peaks, the sound of epic battles echo out, while covert creatures stalk the shadows, and pint sized pika run for cover, doing all they can to hide from Mongolia’s deadliest assassins. Survival in these hills means determination and skill… but not everyone will make it.
