What happens when your patients are more interested in eating you for lunch than listening to your advice? That is the dilemma facing wildlife veterinarian Dr Johan Joubert every day. His office is the Shamwari Game Reserve on the Eastern Cape of South Africa. His patients arent ordinary patients. Theyre the deadliest of all the predators lions, leopards and cheetahs. Thats why they call him the Big Cat Doctor. Every day Johan takes his life in his hands helping Africas big cats. For many years he has been the only wild animal veterinarian on the Eastern Cape. Whenever a big cat gets into trouble he is the first person you call, and wherever Johan goes our cameras follow.
