synopsis
Twelve-year-old Ella Addison has grown up swimming alongside sharks at Shark Rock, a tradition passed down through generations of her family. When she notices troubling changes in her underwater playground - black tip sharks multiplying while powerful tiger sharks mysteriously disappear - Ella’s curiosity is triggered. For a school project, she begins documenting her dives, uncovering patterns that defy decades of natural behaviour. Normally seasonal visitors, the black tips are staying year-round - and all of them are female. Teaming up with Jessica Escobar, a determined Colombian marine biologist studying black tip genetics, Ella blends science and storytelling in a race to understand the imbalance threatening Shark Rock’s fragile ecosystem.
