Magic Camp

Every summer, magic-obsessed kids, to cope with the pressures of growing up, by gathering at the one place where they can be themselves: Tannens Magic Camp, the world's oldest and most prestigious training ground for young magicians. Here, they strive to prove themselves on the stage where superstars like Blaine and Copperfield once performed. This film follows several campers united by their aspirations to make it big while navigating adolescence. One uses magic to escape the symptoms of Tourettes Syndrome; another deals with dyslexia and faces a family trauma while at camp. We meet a high school dropout pinning his hopes on magic as a career; a young magician for whom his Christian faith and magic are linked; and a girl seeking to prove that women are more than magician's assistants. As the all-important final competition approaches, we share in their personal struggles and magical breakthroughs. While only a handful of these campers will likely become professionals, learning their chosen art form is much more than sleight of hand and tricks of the trade; its about finding the magic inside. An inspirational journey that will leave you believing that nothing is impossible.
