Old Yang is 73 years old. He lives in Shanghai and he’s got a problem: he wants a wife. And not just any wife. He knows exactly what he wants. The woman of his dreams has a pension, does not dance or play mahjong and is, above all else, younger than he. Quite a bit younger. To find the perfect match Old Yang places an ad in the personals section of the Shanghai Senior Citizen newspaper. This film joins him for six months as he bicycles through a series off dates. It’s a bumpy road, with many twists and turns, both humorous and poignant. From imbibing penis tonic to placing ads in the local paper, he’ll try anything to find a partner. With the help of his girlfriend and the sympathetic staff of the newspaper Yang manages to get dates. He even builds a house for one of them. But can Old Yang convince one of his dates to move in with him?
