Who doesn’t love a peaceful, relaxing walk in the woods? A green bath in nature, one that some-times leads to exciting glimpses of wild animals going about their daily lives. But no matter how hard we look, we are missing the action; it goes right over our heads – literally! The leafy shade that makes forests so cool, shady and relaxing also hides a vast community head and shoulders above the rest. But this is the canopy, a habitat that holds the most wonderful animal diversity. Here you’ll find almost every facet of the animal kingdom – birds nest, squirrels forage, monkeys play, preda-tors hunt, all without touching the ground! And every now and again new canopy dwellers are born high in the trees, from tiny flying squirrels to adorable red pandas. All born to a life amongst the branches, all desperate to enjoy the high life.
