4th July 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence. This documentary series explores the forgotten men and women who helped win the American Revolution against British rule.

We all know names like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson – but few have heard of Stephen Moylan, the cosmopolitan cool dude who first wrote the phrase “United States of America”; Margaret Corbin, who fired her husband’s cannon after he was killed in battle; John Dunlap, who risked his life printing the first copies of the Declaration of Independence; and Lydia Darragh, the Quaker woman caught up in cloak and dagger espionage. Today, these and other heroes of the Revolution are all but forgotten.
