episode description
In this final episode of Navigating the World, journey through the eastern regions of Oceania beginning in Samoa, the cradle of Polynesia. Exploring the rugged coasts of its largest island Savaii and the spectacular Taga blowholes, then to the east we circumnavigate its most populated island Upolu - where locals dance with fire and knives in a traditional display of a warrior’s strength. Beyond Samoa we journey to the islands of Fiji, harvesting ripe coconuts and venturing deep into the interior exploring the Sigatoka River. Journeying further south we return to New Zealand or Aotearoa as it is known by native Māori people.
