episode description

Navigating the World explores two of Western Oceania's most stunning islands. Beginning on Lord Howe Island, we’ll encounter plants and animals so rare the island was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1982. Next, we travel to New Zealand's western reaches, making landfall at the spectacular volcano Mt Taranaki on New Zealand's North Island, and journey south traversing the stunning glaciers of New Zealand's west by air. Explore Mt Cook, the highest peak in New Zealand, lord of the southern Alps. Culminating our journey in Milford Sound, a breathtaking Fiordland of mountainous peaks, immense waterfalls, and Māori legends.
