A crew of five set are on a routine trip to deliver a sailboat. Things start out well, but soon the clear skies and calm seas quickly turn tumultuous. Winds gust up to 70mph and the crew battles 40ft waves. As the gale intensifies, crew relations begin to crumble. Eventually, pounded by wave after wave for too long, the boat fills with water, and the crew is forced to abandon ship. Now the crew is stranded, more than 100 miles from dry land. They have no supplies: no water, no food and no treatment for injuries. Hypothermia and dehydration begin to take its toll: two of the crew drink seawater, which does more harm than good, and just when things couldn’t get any worse, sharks begin to circle.
