synopsis
British Prime Minister David Cameron has vowed to turn around the lives of 120,000 troubled families by 2015. This film follows the 24/7 job of Newcastles Family Intervention Project. Their job is to help improve the lives of the areas most challenging and disruptive families. With unique access to the inspirational FIP workers who have been assigned the incredibly difficult task of implementing Camerons promise, this film follows the team work intensively with the most disadvantaged, challenging and disruptive families in the UK. Many have been failed already by other authorities. Claire Stewart is trying to help Sharon, whose 14 year old daughter is refusing to go to school, and whose estate is terrorised by gangs of youths. Vicki McKeown has been brought in to help a mother whose two boys are being neglected and risk being taken into care. If these families cant change they will lose their homes or children.
