Episode Information

Meerkats live in close families and rely on their companions to watch their backs. In their vast and unforgiving home of the Namib desert, only together can they defeat the odds stacked against them. One young female is forced from her group, overcoming a brutal attack from the alpha pair and fearing for her life. Cast out and left to fend for herself, she has no choice but to roam the desert and find a way to live. The Namib desert is one of the harshest habitats on the planet, and its residents have developed a range of strategies to overcome the challenges it presents. From the smallest succulents disguising themselves as rocks to avoid hungry eyes, to the giant elephants who expertly mine the earth for underground water. If the young female is going to survive, she must find a new pack, giving her the strength she needs to defeat the odds.
