synopsis

Dive to Tiger Central is a powerful, intimate exploration of one man’s quest to understand and redefine one of the ocean’s most feared predators. Set on South Africa’s Aliwal Shoal, the film follows free diver Mark Addison as he confronts his own fear of tiger sharks—often dubbed the ocean’s garbage disposal units—and forges an extraordinary bond with them. Diving unprotected, Mark embarks on ground-breaking scientific research, tagging sharks to reveal unseen migration patterns and depths. Through loss, reunion, and startling discoveries, his journey challenges long-held myths, revealing the tiger shark not as a mindless killer, but as a complex, intelligent apex predator.
