Wild Battleground

The animal kingdom is a world at war predators hunt their prey, and competitors dominate vital resources. Battles break out over rivers, reefs, and mountain ranges. Wars are waged over watering holes. Every episode of 'Wild Battlegrounds' focuses on one of these hotspots. It uses military analysis to examine the strategies and tactics employed by each of the combatants. We show how different animals use the terrain to their advantage and use their unique attributes to defeat their opponents at each location. They have honed their skills for millennia and have become masters of communication, camouflage, diplomacy, and combat. They are the original warriors. Every episode focuses on one key 'Battleground' where multiple species clash regularly. Preference is given to locations that feature a variety of predators and prey, both iconic and lesser-known.
